but i'll elaborate anyway. i wonder what it's like to elaborate on nothing...
in the random order displayed here: run, doodle, friends, piano, family.
YOU CHANGE YOUR PASSION FOR GLORY
[RUN] running is a big thing for me. it used to be i was really really really preoccupied and didn't have time for much. somehow, running was worked into a packed schedule, and it was also when i thought. i thought about life, about bunnies, and about what i would have for dinner. nonetheless, it was a good time.
running is a very different sport. it's one of few that's independent, it's all about the sole runner, i suppose. this sport is something that many of us learn at a young age. as a kid, i guess it comes after breathing, crawling, walking, and spitting up. so yes, after we learn how to regurgitate our baby crap food, we learn to run. yay!
DON'T LOSE YOUR GRIP ON THE DREAMS OF THE PAST
[DOODLE] my medium is usually a pencil, but the canvas? anything, really. i drew on the walls and drawers when i was little (which frequently resulted in reprimands than masterpieces, alas). nowadays i stick to the conventional paper, but this new age of technology has granted us paint and photoshop, how exciting. so i commonly scribble in there, as well.
i also used to paint a lot, predominantly in the summer. picasso had his cubism and dali went through surrealism, but me? penguinism. at a time, i went through a penguin phase. painted lots and lots of penguins.
on paper, i tend to draw "realistically," i'm not much for abstract, impressionism, neoclassicsm... (haha, i like to show off my knowledge of art history as i took a longlonglong damned class on it. sorry, it was not my cup of tea, but now i can say silly words... like rococo) the art of mine that you can touch with your hands (or whatever body part you wish, my art wishes to be touched by everyone and everything) is probably easier to understand; they're typically just pretty pictures.
art produced on the computer presumably makes absolutely no sense to anyone else, i would think. it's okay though because i thank you all very much for compliments, they're always appreciated, even if you don't know what the hell it is. :)
I'LL BE YOUR CRYING SHOULDER
[FRIENDS] yeah, friends are a pastime. no need to explain, it's either i'll write real little or excessively with me. let's go with little here. you can ask me if you really want me to elucidate, i'd be happy to.
YOU MUST FIGHT JUST TO KEEP THEM ALIVE
[PIANO] i play the piano when i feel like it, and it helps sharpen my fading comprehension. i started piano when i was five, and ended at age thirteen? while i like to think i can play as good that it doesn't sound like dying animals, i'm by no means good enough to be called a pianist, so i often refer to myself as an unaccomplished one.
having to learn it at an early age when all you wanted to do is run around in circles screaming (why, what was your childhood like?) but instead had to sit in a correct posture banging on keys for hours makes for a hard time and unhappy child. so needless to say, pianos and i got off on the wrong foot, but we've patched up our early odiums these days.
i sometimes play classical when i feel like it, but billy joel is a real hero.
i'm a real dork sometimes and carry volume one of the original joel to
people's houses to play. i even call it "billy." and when called that, billy forsakes his "it" state and becomes a man.
so don't call him an "it."
i actually bring billy to more places than i'd like to admit.
YOU'RE MY SURVIVAL
[FAMILY] it occurred to me i mentioned friends but not family? i like to hang out with both, of course friends are family and family are friends, but... you know how it is.
