July 18, 2007: "the days are packed"
a lot of times, i just want to hide from the world with a book.

often times that book is calvin and hobbes. i came across this strip (sorry for the copyright violations, bill) today, and i really wish i had a tiger named after a seventeenth century philosopher to play with me. but don't we all? well, considering today comprised of thunderstorm-watching and napping (mm, life), we can just all comment on calvin and hobbes' day instead - unless, you know, you prefer conversing about real people instead of drawings.

i'm super emulous of the fictional six year old and his talking stuffed tiger at the moment. i mean, i haven't dug a hole in a really long time.

Aww.. Calvin & Hobbes! My grandmother's sister used to always cut out that strip from the paper and send it to me because we didn't get the paper. It was her favorite strip and became mine too!

Aw, Calvin and Hobbes! I love reading that along with Garfield and the such. It's nice to read simple comic strips -- it helps me clear my mind just as much as writing does. And don't worry, I mean, what kid WOULDN'T want a tiger named after a seventeenth century philosopher to play with? I mean, I'm completely jealous.

That strip was lovely. I used to read Calvin & Hobbes a lot some years ago. We call them Lassi & Leevi in Finland. :)

I swear to god everybody in the world has a a thunder storm but me. Well, we got some freakishly loud thunder at 6am that woke the whole city ( and mind, unless I've been horrible misinformed, I live in a city with the same area as NYC). But apart from that painful inconvenience, I could hardly call that a thunderstorm. Lucky you and your thunderstorms.

I love Calvin and Hobbes and it's perfect for rainy days... and late nights haha.

We got hit with a huge storm yesterday. Unfortunately, the windshield wipers stopped working on our car in the middle of the chaos. Oh yea, it was that fun.
