September 13, 2007: "i should stop watching TV"
when i was in second grade, i had a really hard time believing "bestest" wasn't a real word in the english language. i used to go around school telling people it was, and for some reason, my peers listened to me, to my teachers' dismay. i think i was put in timeout for spreading libel.

but someone just used it on a television show, like it was a real word and everything! come on, if they can do it, so can second graders. and that five-minute timeout is five minutes i will never get back.

that's my story.

Haha, I love your blogs.
I think bestest is a word xD
Yeah, with those five minutes, you could've made an explosive, world changing discovery!
=P

I know better than to argue with your logic. I think if a word becomes used a lot it becomes acceptable eventually, like chav being in the dictionary.

Now come to my church and absolve your spam.

Ahh, well at least you were quite strong in your beliefs in your younger years - nice one on convincing them all :P
But haha, sorry you lost those five minutes :(

That's messed up x.x

I remember in elementary school, I though gooder was a word. Nobody told me it was wrong that until i got to middle school, haha.

I use that word, though I wouldn't in an English essay! Haha. That's only cause I don't do English anymore! Haha.

I've recently started using the word 'properly' so much that I've started to believe it's actually a word!

Bestest is really a word? Well, you learn something new everyday don't you?

Anyway! I use bestest all the time anyway. I guess the people I talk to kind of get the message. XP

Thats a mean teacher though. I mean come on. Because of telling people bestest was a word?... Interesting how the mind of a teacher works.

i can't believe you got put in a time-out for that. besides, bestest is totally a word.

I loved using "bestest" to describe anything that was great; except my friends were very intent on making everyone speak proper english so they would always pull out a pocket dictionary in order to prove to me that it was not a word. Personally I keep believing that it takes time for the people at the Oxford Dictionary company to realize that bestest is a word, I mean now a days a lot of swear words can be found in the dictionary. So don't lose hope! One day it shall be in the dictionary, and you can go back to your old school to tell off your teacher (if that person is still teaching).

I loved saying "yo" and "dude" which caused my grade 7 teacher to give me a detention afterschool; so I share your grief on having an important 15 (or 5 in your case) minutes of my life taken away. Imagine, in that time span I could have done something important...like going to the washroom :P.

haha, they put in you time out? hooligan!

I think you should write an angry letter.

[Keng] Saturday, September 15th

I think you should go and hunt down whoever it is that gave you that stupid timeout and tell off that person for ruining a creative mind such as yours at a young age. *shakes head*

Inventing words should be encouraged, really. ;)

[Chris] Saturday, September 15th

Haha I never thought bestest was a word.

You got a timeout for using it? Haha, thats dumb.

[Courtney] Friday, September 14th

haha "Bestest" is a great/cute word. Second-grade teachers should learn that time-outs will not make a anyone think they have to adhere to these rules for English someone wrote. =D
Haha, I ate cake after I got healthy...I had a major sweet tooth for 2 days. xD Yeah...it's a shame...moment of silence should actually be long enough to reflect. I always feel half-guilty if I'm ever happy on September 11th, but life goes on... =/ I guess I feel like the day deserves a little more respect.
Ah, I want to move up North to experience real seasons! It's a little cooler here, but I want a real fall! lol ^_^ Cheers!

[Lily] Friday, September 14th

ahhh... lol haha bestest is definitely NOT a word.. lol but tv people use stupid non-existing words i'm guessing.. lol haha

[Nayana] Friday, September 14th

LOL Did you ever believe in Cooties too?? xD I never thought bestest was a word either but hey I even use it now xD Haha.

I would like to become affies again if you wouldn't mind.

[Niki] Friday, September 14th

That is a funny story. :)

English isn't my first language so I have never used that word and in fact it does sound a little funny to me. :)

[Esme] Friday, September 14th

[maika] Friday, September 14th

[Jenn~] Thursday, September 13th

Haha, I use to use that as a word, too. ^___^

I can imagine your shock when you heard it used!! That's lame that you got put in time out for it. It's not like you hit someone or anything, LOL

[Exene] Thursday, September 13th

I don't give a damn what I say. 12 year olds keep correcting me about my grammar like they're some english teacher.

[Ali] Thursday, September 13th

ROBBED!!
