April 07, 2008: "stuff i did two months ago but didn't tell you about (chapter one)"
well, the title of this entry sounds dirty, and every now and then, i do find that people come to my site by googling less-than-PG searches (why do people think that a personal site called grabaduck would be the place to go for genital searches? do you hear that, people? I DON'T HAVE ANY OF THAT STUFF HERE).

so, i just wanted to clarify now that this isn't going to be a dirty post.

i went to california about a week or so ago to see my sister. she's a former twenty-eight year-old manhattan lawyer, and she's now a twenty-eight year-old san francisco lawyer. actually, i'm not positive that's how old she is, but close enough (dude, you're lucky i know she lives in california). either way, i don't see her as often as i used to, so the visit was great. i'm now convinced that the californian sun is ten times hotter and brighter than east coast sun - don't tell me it's the same sun - it's definitely not. i might not be able to explain this scientifically, but trust me. i felt it.

sun. bright. ouch.

the photograph featured on this layout is of the big sur, which is the californian coastline. it's an overwhelmingly gorgeous scenic location, and i think i'm in love with it - in love with looking at it, anyway. when driving along it, you'll come across some "trails" leading down to the ocean every now and then. and i'm using "trails" loosely because they're more like super narrow dirt paths that will probably kill you. i tried to hike down some of them, but the wind was so strong and gusty (yay, gustyness) i was pretty sure i was going to die, so that's about when i decided to rethink my moves and run back into the car.

in case you were wondering, i lived (hah, i have bested the wind in its sick game of life and death!).

Wow, it's so naked. LOL! The "naked" part isn't going to do anything good for the google search. naked...graba....people are sick.

Can't wait to see the real layout.

I can't see any photo, nor layout. It's a white background, black text and bright blue links on my screen :S :( Just me?

And I bet I'd die if I ever went to see the california sun. Sweden sun, is, probably very different too...

And I love the name grabaduck, although I can see why you get hits like that, not entirely unlogical... :D

Hm, I've never been to California. I do want to go sometime though!

This new layout is very nice!

Ouch. It was supposed to say "that AREA a duck" :P

Oh my, that's a LOVELY pic! I would love to go to California just for that sight. Yet, there is so many other reasons to go to California besides that, lol.

And hey, maybe some people call THAT are a "duck" Haha xD

Wow, it sounds like a beautiful place to visit! I'm glad you survived the hiking. :D

I love the photograph on your layout, it looks beautiful. :D

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your time there. It's great that you got to see your sister again.

And wow I didn't expect people "like that" (= people looking for dirtiness) visited your site. Well, I'm sure they do but I didn't know they visited your site because they EXPECTED to see something dirty. Ew.

Oh. Wow. WOW. Grabaduck. Hahaha.

Can't really relate to you about California (but isn't that what commentors do?) since I currently reside halfway around the world from you. But the sun here always has the "OHMYGOD-MY-EYE-IS-BURNING" type of glare.

I went to camp a couple of weeks ago and your 'trails' seemed to be very popular there. I was pretty sure I was going to die too, with the dignity of someone tripping down a dirt track with a backpack half their size.

Duck is only one letter away from a very popular part of the male anatomy.Coupled with "grab a" -- you can surely understand where the not-so-clean search queries come from!

But thanks for clarifying the non-dirtiness of the post. I didn't even think of it in a dirty way until you mentioned it...

Anyways, the scenery appears to be gorgeous in California, and I'm glad you enjoyed your visit! It can have a different sun if you want :)

Aaaand congratulations on living!

You're aliiiiiiiiivvveeeee!!!
(Ok, ok, correction: we're BOTH alive, horhor)

But aw, California. I've always wanted to go. And see lots of Filipinos, lol---they have a whole bunch of places-to-eat (because I refuse to call them restaurants) there that I miss from the Philippines. My parents totally fell in love with LA when they went, hah.

But anyways. Yay family reunions. :D We picked up my older brother from the airport today after not seeing him for 2 years (he's studying in the PH), so yeah. Fun stuff. Have I said yay family yet? XD

OMG, I know what you mean about the sun. I personally think that the FL sun is so much more hotter and gross than the PH one. Haha. Then again, PH is an archipelago (I'd like to believe that the Oceanography class I'm taking right now would help me in explaining my claims, but I always skipped class, so I guess I wouldn't really know, lol). Erm.

Ok. Is my comment long enough? Y/y? Sorry for not replying to your email yet, either. I have three weeks of school left, though! And I promise that I will reply to it then, hee.

Yay connieeeeeeeeee. Now that you've updated, I may as well update, too. ;) (see how I used that smiley despite the creepiness of it??? hah)

Heeey! I'll get to your e-mail soon, I promise! In the meantime, it's comment time. Oh, such pretty rocks and water in your new layout. =) Everyone seems to go crazy about California, seems like it wasn't pants-wetting for you, which is good (except that almost getting killed by gusty wind and steep earth could get close, I imagine). loool Thanks for commenting me back. ^^ I'll e-mail you back nao. =)
