April 10, 2008: "stuff i did two months ago but didn't tell you about (chapter two)"
one of the things i busied myself with while i was in california was the san francisco exploratorium, which is a science museum - only "exploratorium" is obviously a much cooler name.
i had always loved going to science museums since i was younger because, you know, you basically have permission to touch every single thing in the building - who's going to argue with that? and i actually thought that that was the embodiment of science, and it got me all excited to study it in high school, but all i ever studied in high school was photosynthesis and something about combustion. and you know, sooner or later, burning things just gets old.
and it's so not the same as touching everything.
while today i've already established that i am not a science person, i can still visit the museums and pretend like i am because i at least read the signs before engaging in the exhibits, and that should count for something. that's practically the same as conducting research of my own. don't ever let anyone tell you that you need to use that scientific method crap or whatever... signs are enough.
actually, 90% of the time, i don't understand the explanations for the exhibits because there are so many words. so what i meant to say was: i'm pretty much a scientist because i attempt to read the signs.
PS: wikipedia says that "the Exploratorium also features the Tactile Dome, a three-dimensional pitch-black labyrinth that visitors must navigate using the sense of touch."
!!! i am upset i was not able to participate in this extremely touchable labyrinth. and it's not even like the possibly inappropriate touching i had mentioned before - you really are given permission to touch anything here! like, touching people in certain bodily regions would be inappropriate outside of the labyrinth - clearly - but inside? they're just part of all the science, right? because i'm pretty sure that's what it means.

OMG~
I want to go to that. :D If I go anytime soon I will definitely fill you in on how much confusion it was. Haha.
[Tro] Tuesday, April 15th
Oh man a extremely touchable labyrinth? I might actually pay money to go see that, and I'm broke so that would mean somehow getting said money which takes more effort then I usually have but whoa!

I can't believe you wikipedia'd a place you went to. I was unaware it could be used as a TOURIST GUIDE. Handheld wikipedia, that's what the world needs.
ALSO IT'S BEEN LIKE FIFTY YEARS SINCE YOU UPDATED.
Um, and you touching everything sounds slightly disturbing.

oh yay museum! oh less yay, science... haha, I know it's annoying how you can't get close to the things, but then, it would probably fall apart and that feeling would be worse than the satisfaction of actually touching it.
Although, the last part of that museum does sound interesting. I would join you if you ever go back.

WHAT? LOL! You are so crazy. Sorry you didn't get to touch the only touchable thing in the exploratorium.
[Regina] Friday, April 11th
Aha, a touchable labyrinth, I'd get so freaked out!
And as for your guessestimate, we have a winner! It was indeed by Tonic!
[Chris] Friday, April 11th
Hm, touchable labyrinth. Sounds pretty interesting.
I haven't been to a science museum in years. I remember going to one on field trips back in elementary school.

LOL Only connie wants to grope people in the science labyrinth (because you know that just sounds so much cooler than "maze"). Also, attempting to read making you a scientist. Ah, your logic = my logic. That's why we're amazing.
Lol yeah, with the sneakers, I've wanted some yellow ones for years, so that's why it's "how the story goes". :D Oh I'm glad you like them, too!
Haha I'm not working out too hard, honestly, just jogging in place for about an hour, and the swimming is in circles and purely for fun. But I'll cheer you on to exercise as well! When the weather's this nice, you can't make excuses! (BoA is a K-Pop/J-Pop singer :) and thanks!!)
Aw thanks, you always know how to make me smile. :) Yeah, he's been a bit of a foul-weather friend since he lost interest in me so it's for the best (though I really would like to date someone like him, lol).
Let's see if it'll post a comment this long. lol
Take care!

Oh my god, that sounds amazing!!! A touchable labyrinth would be like my dreams.
What would make it more amazing would be a SMELLABLE labyrinth. Aha!
[Lizz] Friday, April 11th
... aww yeaahhhh.
that was of course referring to the touch anything and everything labyrinth. and for the record 'exploratorium' sounds waaay more epic. Now I want to go.
