July 02, 2008: "it was a rhetorical question"
i've returned for my summer unhibernation! firefox spellcheck says "unhibernation" isn't a word, but... yes, it is (up yours, mozilla).
i had an urge to blog last night because it's been about two weeks since i've done anything stimulating (sounds dirty, but i'm talking about my mind. stimulating my MIND), and i had something thought provoking to write about! well, now it looks like i've built up for something great, and it's really not. i suppose it would depend on what you classify as thought provoking...
so, i wanted to squish this bug that was walking by the laptop (thought provoking?), which is already hard for me because i don't like killing things, and i also don't like having bug guts on my finger. but then it looked like it was nibbling on the shadow of the laptop wire, running back and forth along it but not daring to cross it. sometimes i wish i was a bug whisperer so i could tell the poor thing that it's just a shadow. and by sometimes, i mean that one time last night. instead, i watched for about forty seconds and thought that it's cruel to kill such stupid things.
but i'm the one who watched for forty seconds, so what does that say about me?
don't answer that.

Squishing bugs makes me feel bad. And like a hypocrite since I'm a vegitarian.

Bugs are interesting to watch now and then. When I'm waiting for the bus I am amused by how long it takes bugs to figure out how to get out of the glass bus shelter. I would think that it would hurt their heads banging them on the glass so often.

LOL tell me about it...Lobster sandwiches are pretty distracting things...I can't blame you if you can't remember anything else about my entry. xD lol True, and I'm never going to use the Korean on my comp unless suddenly someone teaches it to me *lack of motivation*, but yeah what scares me even more is Chinese texting. My brain just kind of can't wrap around what technique would make this possible. And I'm really relieved you liked the entry...I was so surprised everyone with the password commented on it! ^-^

Every night, bugs gather around my laptop because they're attracted by the light in my room and the glow of the laptop screen. It's really annoying but I don't like killing them either. It's not that I'm squeamish about getting blood on my hands (well, bug guts in this case), I just don't want to exercise all this power I have over them. I don't know how to explain it, it's like I feel like, because I have this power, the ability to end their life on a whim, I'd rather just let them live. It's like my good graces that grant them life (for another couple hours or days). Either that or I'm just kind of lazy.

hahahaha, i hate killing bugs too, in fact i never do it, not in a long time, unless its mosquitos or something. i like watching them, to see what they do. there are these tiny beetle things i find in my room sometimes, if you touch them they curl into their backs and dont move at all, they play dead and its really cool to watch such a tiny tiny little insect have that kind of.. mentality to do that. when they play dead they just look like a peice of dirt that you wouldnt bother with.. i just take them outside. same with spiders.. i never kill em.
good to hear from you connie i hope youre doing well!!!

I hate when a fly buzzes by you, and in frustrating you make a half-assed attempt to clap at it, and you actually DO catch it, and now it is squished between your palm, a dead fly IN YOUR HANDS... and you freak out and you're like OH NO EWW NOW I HAVE A DEAD FLY IN MY HAND WHAT DO I DO.
=(
We sometimes get really really big bugs.. not really, flies, I'm not sure what they are. One day I was eating mango, and the bug started to feast on it too, but I didn't notice. When I saw, I squished it with a fly-swat, and all this yellow goop came out of its guts. EEP.
As for mind-stimulating... read a book! Write a book! Go to a museum and see how much stuff you know or can learn. Hmmmm. Do an IQ test online hahaha.

Lol...Yeah, the bigger they are, the harder they are to squish...I hate the guts too. >_< Thanks about my new domain! My summer project is to take a picture each day, so I'm proud of myself for posting daily. ^^ Yup, I took the header picture! I was glad it turned out so summery! I've been doing great and my summer has been good...how about you?? Happy 4th, as well! What's new?? And don't worry, I'll give you the password, once that time comes. =) Thanks for your comment again~ Take care~

I hate squishing bugs. They have every right to live too. :(

You always manage to be thought-provoking, even about such silly things. lol And how does a bug try to nibble on a shadow...? You could tell it was nibbling?
[Andre] Thursday, July 3rd
