August 23, 2008: "nevada"
i went to las vegas a few weeks ago, and here is what i can tell you: it's hot, dry ... and like, really hot.
what do you know? all that stuff they say about the desert is actually true.
highlights of the trip were my lodging in the bellagio, which was across the street from the miracle mile mall, which could have been constructed just for my arrival. yeah, oodles of shopping right across the street. that's what las vegas is about.
and, you know, the hookers. which, by the way, i was never offered an advertisement for this time. whenever you walk the strip in the day, there are always people extending cards with photos of well-endowed women and phone numbers, and i distinctly recall getting these when i was in vegas the last time, when i was thirteen, because i wanted to call the number, and my dad took my cards away...
parents really do take away all of the fun.
anyway, i wasn't even given any of these ads this time. how. insulting. this is what i take away from las vegas this time: their dismissal of a perfectly good, potential client. but now i know where i won't be getting my hookers from.

I've never been to Vegas - as you know I live about as far from there as you can get! (New Zealand!) But I've always wanted to go - neon lights, casinos...I'd have great fun, I know I would.

I got offered those cards when I got there.
I dunno if it's an advertising technique, but whenever people reject their cards, they always slap the cards together and offer them again.
I have no idea why.
I remember my dad got one, and he laughed at it.

LMAO. I recall people trying to give those cards out when I went to Las Vegas several months ago. It was really sunny and hot there. Did you go to the new outlet mall? It was awesome there, when I went I sadly didn't have enough time to see it all.

I've never been to Vegas, but always wanted to go. I heard about the little hooker business cards being passed around. How hilarious is that? My sister wants to go to Vegas for her 21st birthday (in two years!). I would probably stay at the Bellagio. The picture's I've seen are absolutely gorgeous!
