this
pillsbury cinnamon roll commercial has been on lately. and i suppose it's cute and everything because it brings families together through the magic of gastronomy, and it creates the illusion that the mom character can actually cook, but it's ...off. the commercial begins with the doughboy frowning at generic, store brand cinnamon rolls, and then when it catches a whiff of the pillsbury brand, it's all happy and starts giggling.
that's gross. isn't what's cooking in the oven the doughboy's brothers or something? his father? or come on, even if it's a distant cousin - dude's cooking in the oven and you're getting hungry? there's nothing to giggle about here. it's your own flesh, man.
pillsbury doughboy: you make me sick.
(by the way, happy last day of january!)
(and, i found a page where you can make the doughboy dance:
isn't it strange the catchphrase is "add a little love," and it really means, "let's add more of my dough family in the oven and then eat them" - but i guess that's too long)
