waiting, expecting, and holding

hi KENG, friend who has returned to the world of the web! definitely drop her a visit if you fancy entertainment and cheer and whatever else it is that we claim to do in our blogs (…dance? yeah, she dances in her blog).

just to clarify, i don’t do dance.

lately, i’ve been working on soaking up the abating remainders of summer – which is hard work, trust me – but today i woke up towards cloudy skies and a raining outdoors, and it’s like the weather was demanding a lazy sunday. so NO, i will not do laundry today because cleanliness wasn’t meant to be – as per the decision of the clouds, of course. who am i to say no to the weather?

i have about a week until i revisit university life (or it revisits me, rather, because which one of us asked for class to start september 1st?). but right now, i most look forward to walking to class on fallen leaves in brisk nights with crisp air, where i can finally enjoy, again, the idea of hot coffee and warm soup, of hot cider and hot chocolate, and of all other warm liquids that promise to, and strangely enough, succeed, in warming my body and my core. it’s something that comes once every year: that feeling, and those moments – and they don’t ever fail me.

i can’t wait until a winter day, on a sunday morning, where i wake up and see taxed gray clouds waterlogging all that’s outside, and i decide to roll over, and sink further back in the comforter as well as in my slumber, because i’m cozy and secure where i already am.

the fact that you typed my name out in all caps makes me feel special, hee. i know how the capital letters tend to get to you, so thank you! hahahaha. you just made my sunday, too! :D

(and yes, there should be some dancing in my blog of the most awesome variety… soon.. ish)

hey, why is it raining on your part of the east coast and not mine??? i want a lazy sunday, too! not that i’m not always lazy, but rain always makes me feel better about being lazy. lol.

i think classes already started at uf, and i kinda miss it. mostly i miss being away from home and having my own place with my friends, but i also miss the whole not having to worry about the rest of your life just yet. the unemployment and job hunting part stinks. a lot.

    Hey! :D

I might pay your friend a visit later today or so because right now I am busy with all those comments that have been waiting to be returned for almost two weeks now.

Dancing is cool though! :) But yeah, I don’t dance on my blog either. I might burst out into random dancing here and there during the night when I am almost bored to death but that’s about it. xD

We’ve been having two and a half great summer days again this weekend which was kinda cool after a week or two of “sucky” weather. But today we had a little bit of pretty much everything I think.

Everybody is about to go back to uni/start uni and I kinda envy you guys! No matter how much I used to hate school and the entire atmosphere – I kinda miss it. And considering the fact that I didn’t get into uni and have to stay at home now – it just sucks.

I only really enjoy the winter when I wake up in the morning and everything outside is WHITE. That’s what winter should be for me. I want snow and A LOT of it. I love to play outside with my 8 year old brother and then get back inside and drink a hot cup of chocolate! BEST THING IN THE ENTIRE WORLD.

I should say that your post reminded me of an afternoon in winter last year when I was walking alone and slipped. LOL.. I also can’t wait for winter. <3 Waking up from a cozy bed and drinking warm coco after is the best.

  4. Minna Says:

Oh thank you for giving me some hope for autumn <3 I do too look forward to hot soup and tea, and all that fresh air! And I too start school soon. It's torture waiting. It might as well just come now :/ So I'm glad you had a lazy Sunday. I had a lazy weekend, staying in bed watching movies. We need them too.

Thank you for your email sweetie <3

Aw, this made me miss my east coast life </3. And, by the way, I once lived there. Before Vegas. Before Hell. *snaps out of freaky trance*

ANYWAYS :). I did enjoy my jacuzzi loving. But now it's very boring so I no longer get in it xD. Hahaha. School starts on August 30th for me D:. I don't want to go back – school sucks. ;( oh, it's @katarinaholly.

I agree, bowling is very boring and over priced. However, it is nice to relive your childhood, even if it’s only for a couple of hours. :)

I don’t really like being in the centre of attention, but I’ve never had a party before so I feel like I should make my 21st a day to remember, I’m terrified no one will even show up, let alone enjoy it. D:

I don’t really like Autumn myself, or ‘fall’ as you probably call it. I find that’s it’s in the middle of Summer and Winter, so I’m pretty much waiting for Winter the whole way through. Don’t get me wrong, I love all the colours of the leaves and such… But it’s always rainy and miserable here.

Also, winter means my birthday and Christmas. Hehe. :D

I love a nice cup of tea or hot chocolate on a rainy nice, nothing makes me feel better. :)

  7. Luna Says:

I want to experience winter. There is no winter here. D: I want to experience the same feeling that you feel whenever it’s winter, haha. Oh, the cozy feeling. *u* Anyway, I can only feel cozy when there is rain.. heehee. I love it when it rains in the evening. *u*

I hope you can make the most out of your remaining vacation. :D Slack all you want, heehee. I miss having sembreaks/vacations. D:

Thanks for the comment. *u* Blood+ is an anime adapted from that movie, hee. It’s an awesome series. :]]

Lazy days are always nice =) They make me feel bad for not being productive, but they’re sooo relaxing. I hope you enjoy the rest of your break!

I’m kind of looking forward to winter. It’s been way too hot here lately, going over 100F. I can’t wait for cooler weather!

  9. Shelly Says:

Ahh totally know what you mean – school starts for me this thursday! Eek! Well technically Friday since I don’t have class on Thursday haha but a looot of school-related stuff to do! I wish I went to college somewhere where it still had seasons lol. I miss leaves on the ground and what-not and real fall weather. It’s always rainy and cold here, it was just mist-ing a day or two ago in AUGUST. GUHH. I’ve been trying to fit in as much lazy as possible! =]

Your post makes me anticipate east-coast life haha. I’m applying to a bunch of east coast schools for grad school =P

Never say no to the weather, indeed. There have been so many sunny days that require outdoors work like lawn mowing, painting houses, etc etc, I always look forward to the rainy days, I don’t have guilt for spending so many hours in front of the computer. :P

I’m exactly the same, lol, my previous planners were used in a month and then they ended up soaked in milk or crumbled by other books and I lose all interest in them. I hope that since I’m a third-year now, I’ll pull myself together.

  11. Krystal Says:

Guess it must be really hot where you are. Here in the UK it’s like cold everyday. We get a few sunny hot days sometimes but it’s always grey.

I love snow though, waking up the thick snow outside is just so pretty. Makes everything looks so peaceful.

  12. Georgina Says:

I like dancing. :D I did ballet and I’m now a qualified teacher, and I did other styles of dance as well.

University started for me weeks ago. Sometimes I feel like it chases me when I’m on a break… other times I feel like I want it back though. :P It’s coming spring here though, and I’m looking forward to it because I can’t stand the cold at the moment. :)

  13. Lizz Says:

mmm fall days are the best. :} I also love rainy sundays. It poured ALL day here. It was so nice. I stayed in bed the whole time. Also, school sucks. :P

  14. Gabi Says:

I can’t wait for it to get cool…Cool, not cold. I live in the Midwest, so cold is really cold here. I love the temperature where I could wear long sleeves and sweatshirts but I don’t need a jacket when I go outside.

I just love everything about Fall. I am counting the days until Starbucks brings back pumpkin spice lattes. Those are the best warming-up drinks for me. Not only are they hot, but pumpkin is one of those comforting flavors.

Gah, now I’m feeling even more anxious for fall.

  15. Courtney Says:

I love all the great images in this post…gray cozy clouds, sipping on warm drinks, seasonal flavors…now I’m yearning for fall and winter too. haha I’ll probably have to wait until the end of September though. x_x
